Hockey Pucks and Art...who knew?!

My bestfriend and I do a mystery trip once a month. We each take turns on planning a trip. This was Adrien's month. And she took me to Stockton to see The Stockton Thunder Hockey Team! And WHO KNEW...it turned out that I LOVE hockey! It was so much fun. Yelling and jumping up and down for the home team to score! It was cold(just wear layers and you will be fine) and loud! I loved it...we both ended up seeing and doing something totally new for both of us! I was working on some photos today and came across the mystery trip. It evoked great memories and wanted to share.

It was this year in Feburary. And as most of you know, I love art. And it was incredable to see that even the stadium (which is quite impressive itself) had art around it.

Just a stroll down memory lane today. Wanted to share a great day with all my blogging friends! Enjoy! And if you live in Northern California, I highly suggest going to see the Stockton Thunder Hockey. The tickets ran us about 14-16 a piece and we got great seats as you can see from the photos.
With much love,

Hi Robyn! That looks like it was SO much fun. I actually like to watch hockey too--it's exciting. My hubby used to play ice hockey, and he's still a really good skater in his "old age."

My swap blog--it's a long and boring story, but here goes--one of the ladies who was my spoiler in a granny square swap turns out to also be the one I'm spoiling. She's been visiting my blog, and I posted pics of the package, so I decided to hide the blog till after she receives her package. Then I'll put the link back up! Robyn, was that the most boring comment ever posted on a blog post? I think so. It's also filed under More Info than You Needed!!! Please forgive!

Oh my gosh, Robyn, we were so meant to be swap partners! I love hockey! My husband and I have tickets to see the Rangers and Islanders this Thursday. We are such dorks about it, too. But we love it and it's a fun time spent together. Go Rangers!

And do you know that I've actually been to Stockton? My friend got married there many many moons ago. I remember a visit to Santa Cruz and loving it. hugs!

Hi honey!

Great post and what a fabulous idea.

Hockey, don't get me started. I don't know if you remember but Rob has played since he was 4 or 5, was captain of the team that won the CA State Championship in the mid 70's, played in college and hoped to play for the NHL. Unfortunately he learned quickly that mostly Canadians were being drafted, so he decided to be a doctor or lawyer! But that man can still skate like no bodies business. It brings tears to my eyes to watch him play (or just skate ~ he's like poetry in motion).

I'm so glad you had a wonderful time at the hockey game. And thank again for sharing your adventure.

Go Boston Bruins!

Good morning Robyn!

Sounds like you had a wonderful time. Our newest son in law was a hockey player. It was when he was a youngster, playing in leagues. He's recently begun to teach our three year old granddaughter Gabi to skate. Gabi would love to do the twirls and jumps of figure skaters right this very minute. Funny though...we see her as a hockey player!

Awesome. Hockey is a lot of fun to watch in person. Glad you had a good time. If you want a good laugh look up hockey hair on the Internet. It is safe for work too.

Hi pumpkin. Where are you? You're so quiet. I know you're going through "Brian Withdrawal," but you'll be okay. They'll never be another Brian, but you'll see, another handsome, smart, witty man will appear and you'll feel whole again. Happens all the time and it'll happen to you. Just open yourself to the possibility.

I miss him too.
