Finished the Race!
I DID IT! I finished my first ever 5k walk! Not the greatest time but found out I wasn't last either! Yea! There were 4 of us but soon there was only 2 of us! LOL! Two in our party had a faster pace...off they went. Cora and I not as fast, stayed together chatting the whole way. It was surely lovely to be out this brisk morning...man was it FREEZING this morning. But soon the sun was up and so, was my spirits! The excitment all around us was incrediable.
Just a cute shot! I thought it was fun and cute to put all of our feet together!
These people in front of us were our pacers...getting to see their lovely wings flutter in the wind this morning was sure fun!
And part of the race lead us to an area that I had never been. On the River Walk! It was gorgous to see and smell clean fresh air. I had a blast with my racing buddies. We have decided to rename our group the "Scrapbookers in Action" (that will be in the front) and on the back it will read "scrapbook this!". I know..I know only scrapbookers humor! But it will be fun to be a little team and encourage and inspire others to get up off their duff and enjoy the RACE!
With much love,

Congratulations Robyn!! I enjoyed seeing the photos. The one of your feet is great!

How wonderful, Robyn, congratulations! I'm so inspired by this. Each year I always plan to work towards doing the Arthritis Foundation's Jingle Bell Walk/Run but always seem to have some physical challenge preventing me from joining. This year I'm going to do it. I'm going to keep you in mind as well as Kelli at Africankelli as my role models.
Congrats on finishing the race! I see you live in Sacramento - I love that town! I lived there for a while and went to Sac State. Grew up in Redding, now live closer to Fresno. So we're kinda neighbors, LOL.
Congrats to you Robyn!! Good for you!!
Thanks for the showing us the pictures.
Have a wonderful day!!

rock on!!! the last 5k i ran i didnt do too bad either. 150th place. eight minute miles or something? it was raining and i did drink/carry a one liter of coca-cola during the race. i was the only one (as far as i could see) who had a smoke afterwards... anyways kudos to you on running!!! did you have any wings?
Good on you, Robyn! That sounds like a lot of fun. I guess your leg is feeling a bunch better? That's very very good news.
It's freezing in Brooklyn today too, but tomorrow we'll be in Texas where it's in the '80s!!!

Well done Robyn ,huge congrats ,so prode of you ,Dawnxx
HELLO HONEY!!!!! You did it. Congrats! I'm so proud. I was going to, but didn't want to do it alone. Can I do it next year with you and the gals? Hope so. You didn't run, right? You walked. I'd like to walk, not run. Well, even if you run, I'm walking!!!
The photos are wonderful. Love the walkers in front of you with butterfly wings. Amazing.
I hope your legs are better. Please write when you have time.
Much love,
Suze XO :)
Hi baby. Leah's in Texas and not feeling too wonderful. If you have time, please visit and cheer her up.

Congrats on a great race!!
Love the pics of the wings and everyone's feet!!
I love to walk, but we still have too much snow and ice to be outside walking without falling. I am looking forward to Spring weather, hopefully soon.
Hugs

Whoo hoo for the race! Way to go! Better than I could do at this point :)
How do you get in the swaps? I'm not that great at some projects, but I do like to get crafty -- this would be a cool summer project.
