The EYES have it...

There are many expressions commonly used to describe emotions portrayed by the eyes. Some of these expressions are: eyes of love, lustful eyes, bedroom eyes, dreamy eyes, soulful eyes, sinful eyes, fiery eyes. Have you ever heard these expressions? Have you ever heard someone say that someone has eyes that stare through your soul? The eyes truly are the window to the soul. They portray love, anger, hurt, fear, lust, trust, deceit. In fact, the eyes, more than any other part of your anatomy, can convey every emotion that you experience.

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. Eyes reflect emotion, intelligence and life experience. The beauty that eyes possess goes beyond the pigment and hue.

Surely everyone has a preference to eye color. Some fall head-over-heels for green eyes, while others are passionate about blue. Still others insist that only brown or hazel will do. But, is it really the color that attracts a mate, or the character that pours from the stunning shade?

One of my favorite songs by Peter Gabriel. Take a listen and I think you will agree that IN YOUR EYES...evokes some form of emotion that is seen through our eyes, of the world we live in, and the people we share it with.
Your eyes say it all!!

And lately my eyes are conveying everything from love, lust, anger, curiosity, saddness, happiness and much more! What are your eyes saying...

With much love,

I love green eyes and blue eyes, probably because I have brown eyes, lol! I was so happy when my son had blue eyes and my hubby's eyes are what made me notice him.
What do my eyes say about me? hmmmm well since I have a funny mark on my eye, I guess it says I am definitely imperfect and unbalanced, lol!

A musician wrote a song about my eyes, probably in an attempt to seduce me.

If only he'd known that a bottle of Irish whiskey was all it took, he could have saved himself the time and effort.

My eyes are saying... I need to rest! With school starting in a week, I am getting less and less rest!

My eyes are green and brown. Not a delightful combination unless I get mad, then I have been told they "shoot fire." (a direct quote from a first grader)

The eyes say sao much then it must be the reason so many people wear sunglasses, to hide their truth or lies. Cool post.

Hmmm. I was once told that I have dark, beady little eyes, and that I was not to be trusted. I told them that my eyes were not dark and then I stole their wallet.

I love LOVE eyes. I have a friend who has two different color eyes, and I think that is the coolest. My eyes are hazel, and my husbands eyes are EXACTLY the same color. But, my son Josh has brown eyes, and my son Ben has blue/grey eyes. Weird huh?!

I love eyes. You can tell a lot about a person or an animal, in fact, by looking at the eyes. Nice post, chick!

Hnmmmm Those eyes, I wonder what they were thinking that very moment.

I may sound nuts, but when Im making a project, and the eyes are finished, the piece speaks to me. I know its an in antimate object, but somehow this works for me.

That is my favorite Peter Gabriel song too. Great post.

Thank you for your Olympic comments on my blog Robyn. Speaking of eyes, you can see in the eyes of an Olympic competitor whether or not they believe they can win before the gun goes off. I guess that's 'Eye of the Tiger".

Hey Robyn,

Great post! Eyes are indeed the window to the soul. Not really sure what mine say - they're a kind of brown....I think they're saying that they want to be green or grey though...

Take care!

When our granddaughter, Gabi, was born, we first saw her when she was just about 1/2 an hour old. She seemed to look into the very depths of our souls. In fact we both commented on that. She has the most expressive big brown eyes and yes...at almost 4, she still looks into the depths of our souls.

Beauitul photos!

What a fun post! I can always tell when someone really means what they're saying to me by looking them straight in the eye. Eyes express a truth that we instinctively recognize, whether it's joy, sorrow, or whatever. My eyes are green, a bit faded now, but nonetheless decidedly green.

Humm - my eyes have been saying,
1. "Let me go back to sleep." Only cracked open.
2. "Don't fall off the horse, don't fall off the horse!" Wide open!
3. "Stop being a baby and put on the cheaters!" Squinting.

My eyes are saying - HOLY TOLEDO you ARE old!!!

I once was assisted at Best Buy by a young man that had eyes the color of spiced pumpkin. I couldn't pay attention to a word he said and finally commented on the color of his eyes.

The poor kid turned three shades of pink from embarrassment but he had the MOST amazing eye color I have ever seen.

Mine are the lovely shade of pond water scum.

Thanks for you comments on underage Chinese gymnasts. The little girls are pawns of a government we should stop turning a blind eye to just because we get cheep labor.

I am intrigued by eyes. They have always been my favorite feature about myself. Funny thing I have brown eyes, my DH has blue. ALLl 5 kids have blue. What are the odds?
