Got Crabs??? Part III

First off, I must apologize on this late entry (I had started to work on it and then I hit a wall with being pooped). I have just got off of 3 days of back to back 12 hour shifts! I was ran into the ground., now 3 days off I blog away! My favorite past time next to scrap booking and doing my altered art.
OK...well on with it, shall we?

Adrien and I were starving by the time we got to Joe's Crab Shack (right on the river walk). We started out with an appetizer of HOT gooey crab spread in one dish and the other was HOT gooey artichoke dip. For the yumminess factor...I had to take pictures of the food! Damn this was so stink 'en good!
Can I just say...we dove right in with no speaking! Lickty split it was devoured! We had also ordered some cooling refreshments as well. Me...a kick-ass Mojito! Adrien a blended Big-Girl Margarita!

We had a fabulous server, her name was Ami! She was on the ball kept my drink filled to the brim and brought out our cardiac specials out...piping hot! Take a look at my platter...or trough more like! I can't say enough about this all shrimp combo. It was packed with about (I swear) 18 butterflied shrimp. There were 3 sections of different flavors; Coconut Shrimp, Peppered Shrimp, Plain ol'Shrimp! It was SHRIMPablous! I mean look at I need to say anymore?!

And here is Ms. Adrien's all Coconut Shrimp dish. She was over the moon with delight!

If you have never been to a Joe's Crab Shack, you are in for a treat! Do not think at any minute this is where you have a 'quiet-romantic-hand-holding' date! So not happening. This is a 'live-wire-get-up-and-move-your-tush' kind of a place! What happens about every 1 1/2 hour the whole place becomes a disco. Where the servers and some customers get out there and dance! heard me right! We as customer's get free entertainment! And it is lively with toe-tapping music and the servers know with each song what routine to do! It is fab to see the lights dim and disco balls to start spinning and flashing lights start blinking.

And the smallest customer had to get out there with (his crush...I think more like it) his server (the one in the red) and get his groove on. Little man really did dance as 'no one was watching' free to do what he wanted! All of us adults couldn't keep our eyes off our 'Little' charmer out there getting his groove on.

Joe's Crab Shack is about as famous as this little guy who works for Disney! Can I just say I really do have a love for crabs!

There really is no point for me to try to hide my love, passion for CRABS! I love them and pretty much anything from the ocean! Yes...there I have said it...I adore SEAFOOD! There really is no reason for me to even say that pork, beef, chicken are my favorite! NOT!

OK! On to some funnier (I so know that is not a word...but I am declaring that it should be) news! I was given an award from one of my blogger friends! Skeeter over at Atomic Zebra! He is just fab in my book! I just want to give you a big ol' Rob hug! Thanks so very much for bestowing with this award! It really has the 'aaaahhhh' factor. It means 'you-really-do-love-my-blog'. *blowing Skeeter a big wet kiss* I will be back to post the rules and list of the 7 choosen! I will be around soon my dear blogger friends to catch up and visit. I have certainly missed you all!

Here's wishing you a Tequila Sunrise kind of day...where ever that is for you!
("Tequila Sunrise" is a song written by Don Henley and Glenn Frey, and recorded by the American rock band Eagles. It was the first single from the band's second album Desperado.)

With much love,

Love the hat at the end!

And crabs and shellfish - not really my cuppa tea. Something about small, wiggly things with tentacles and gawd-knows what else...not for me.

Give me a steak or a hamburger anyday :-)

Great 3rd instalment, Robyn!

The only thing from the ocean that I used to eat was shrimp - sigh, now my shellfish allergy won't even allow that!

Great post, it sounds like you had lots of fun.

CSI Seattle said...

Hey, if we ever go out for seafood, you can have all of mine. No really, all of it...blah. What a shame that I moved to Seattle with what I have heard are some of the best seafood places around. Oh hell, I just burped up...

Either way, if you want to eat giant insects, I mean crabs, you just go ahead. I'll be in the corner licking the bottom of my shoe trying to get the image of shrimp and lobster out of my brain.

Tofu anyone?

Walker said...

Wow wow wow

I love sea food with shrimp amd lobsters toping the list.
The food looks fantastic and its cool that every hour and a half you can get up and work some of it off with some dancing.

Suzanne said...

Man am I late. Sorry honey. YES, I try! I really do make an effort to get here!!! Oh be quiet, I know what you're saying.

WOW, another fantastic post. Seriously. You really know how to have fun. Before I was a vegetarian, I LOVED SEAFOOD. Can still smell it as I write this, but just can't hurt another living creature at this point in my life (of course I'm wearing my PETA name tag featuring a naked Pamela Anderson on my forehead). So I'm going to take CSI up on some tofu. Hell, I'm not even a tofu fan, but I love Brian, so guess we'll just sit around with a container of tofu and shoot the s&#! Oh yummy. (Next time I'll bring the food.)

One funny observation. The appetizers look amazing. That would be my meal. Actually I thought that was your meal(!), but then, DEAR GOD you ordered all that shrimp! When I saw the platter I nearly died. Wow...THAT'S A LOT OF FOOD!!! I'll just take that little thing of coleslaw please! Ladies, you are too funny. And drinks too. How did you make it back to the car or light rail? I would have liked to be a mosquito on your arm whatchin' the show.

Rob and I are appetizer people. We'll order 4 or 5 and have a blast. Main courses usually don't interest us. If you and Adrien ever make it down to Berkeley on one of your mystery trips, there is an Italian resturant on Shattuck, not too far from campus that serves the best deep fried mozzarella and deep fried zucchini in the world. Both are served with a marina sauce. Insane. I used to go there with my Chiropractor when I was in college. She and I became dear friends and would usually meet every other Friday night for dinner at the resturant (the other Fridays I was playing poker!!!!). I also became dear friend with one of my professors and she invited me to a Tapas Bar (Italian/Spanish finger food) on Telegraph Ave.. It's still there after over 20 years and still gorgeous. The area is really, really beautiful and filled with all sorts of exciting resturants and shops. You guys would love Berkeley. And then you could treat yourself to something really special, drop a hundred bucks a pop at Alice Water's Chez Panisse. Or screw that and walk to the North Side to Tog Dog and have one kick ass hot dog (yup, so good they're shipped all over the world), or back down to Shattuck for some of the best pizza in the world. No, don't drive home. Stay over. Relax and wake up in the morning to a nice breakfast.

I think you and Adrien should start a Mystery Tour blog and write a book! Honestly. These tours are wonderful. I'm taking your tour of Old Sac. I'll visit ever site. Can hardly wait.

Love you baby! You should still have some shrimp in a doggie bag. Right?

P.S. Got your email. I've almost completed mine. It'll arrive soon. Love you my dear. Hold On. Much love.

Cecile said...

Hey there, Girlie. I was just stopping by to let you know I'm here, and I'm pulling for you, and I love CRABS too. Actually, I love Seafood. Any seafood. I love anything about the ocean. I have swam with dolphins twice and loved it. Actually if I could be any creature in the world for just one day, I would be a dolphine. I want you to know I'm here and you can call on me if you need me.

Butterfly Kisses to you,

My computer decided to kick off the end of the year by picking up something that is making it act whacky. My AV (McAfee) is logging and blocking something called winupdate86 from creating files. Now it seems that every 20 minutes there is a pop up that states that Windows will download a anti spyware program. This is the first time that this has happened to me, so I don't know how to handle it. I don't even know if this is spyware, malware, adware or trojan. Even my AV is logging all this it is still does not seem to see this as a problem. So if you could help by answering some questions I would greatly appreciate it. 1. My computer has two hard drives. The AV is logging and blocking files in the first hard drive. Is the second hard drive infected? 2. What free programs are out there to help remove this from my computer? 3. My friend had an executable file that kept trying to log onto the internet. He fixed it by changing the .exe in the file to a .txt. If I know what files are causing the problem can I do the same thing, without harming my computer? 4. Can I take both hard drives, place them in external hard drive enclosures and have a friend with a clean computer scan them to find and remove the problem? 5. Could AVG be downloaded onto a thumb drive and then used to scan my computer? 6. Would it be possible to move files from the second hard drive to an external hard drive without infecting anything? 7. All my friends have Vista or Windows 7. I used Windows XP. If they decided to scan my computer would this cause a conflict with my drives. That is it for now. I am kind paranoid about downloading and installing anything right now. If you can answer all the questions and give me any direction I would greatly appreciate it. Please bear in mind that I am not that very computer saavy. Thanks and have a Happy New Year santoramaa

Anonymous said...

No. I will not do that because that will result in a conflict and you will end up messing up with your computer. I'd rather suggest you to use a better known anti virus to protect your computer or use Linux based OS so that your computer will be relatively less prone to viruses santoramaa
