What's in a List?

Well...Friends life has thrown me a curve ball. And sort of knocked the wind out of me. Oh, no worries I will get back up and dust off my pants and take whatever life throws at me face on!

I just didn't have any creative thoughts running around so I borrowed an idea from a darling friend! CSI Seattle. I thought it evoked emotions in me that I have not felt in a long time. For an example; as in SAVING A LIFE.

I will never forget when I was a transporter and I had my first CODE BLUE. There I was face to face with someone my own age, laying so very still and dying as I looked on. I rememeber everything slowing down and the ER Doc yelling at me to 'get on the chest to start compressions'. I was a robot! I climbed up and started...and then being told I needed hard and deeper compressions. I pumped and pushed harder, trying with all my might to push life back into her!
I was doing compressons for 25 minutes (a very long time) but I didn't and couldn't fail her. Finally, the ER Doc called out 'we have a pulse'! I started to cry....once I let up on the compressions. I remember slipping off the gurney and slumping to the floor with exhaustion and pure happiness that I SAVED my first life.

Take a look and do what CSI has done and make it your own...add one that is not on the list! To make this your own!

Robyn I'm sorry to hear about the health problems. I hope that everything gets better and that this doesn't keep you out of action to long.

When I was a medic in the ER I remember my first code. Sadly it was a child and sadly the little one did not make it. Things like that remind you that life is short, live, love, and enjoy it while you can.

I'm gonna try this to with a future post :)

Quite a list, and a great idea.

Saved lives- yeah. I work in a jail. Sometimes people try to kill themselves. We stop them. Most of the time. Few do much with the gift returned to them. Sad.

Tarantulas- We have had several live in the house. One in particular was not the holding kind, unless you no longer needed the hand. Goliath Bird Eater. Fun.

You could throw in "write a book" or "write a poem" or song or whatever. Lots of people want to write a book. I finally did. It feels good. Now I need to get it polished up and sold.

I will have to play with this idea. It seems healthy, like a spiritual tune-up.

"Played in the mud"...

Is that a euphemism for "mud wrestling"?

I hope you start feeling better soon.
I know the rush of trying to save someone from the brink of oblivian and the relief you feel after.
A stiff drink goes a long way later too.

Quite the list and I see you still have a few you need to get ticked so get better and back at it.
Life doesn;t slow down when there is fun to be had ;)

Robyn, you email me and tell me what is going on, ok? I did a stint in the ER, too, and I got to put together a man who had a tractor accident. Not pretty.

Missing you...

You know me. I'm crying while writing this. I love you, but you already know that. The comments are so beautiful. Just buried my face in my hands and sobbed. Robyn, I love you. This so reminds me of the beautiful post to wrote to me and Brian, and yes, I still remember. How could anyone forget that much love.

Hang in there baby. We all love you so much. An just to remind you, I'm right here. Just a few miles away. If you need me, I'm right here.

XO

Wow, you've done so much! What a lady!

Not sure what's going on with 'the curve ball', but I'm thinking of you my dear.
Take the best care - please....

Hey there,

Very cool list. It's interesting to see the things that we have done in our collective lives. I was disappointed to see that you don't have a tattoo. I was hoping for a big dragon on the side of your leg, or a gecko on your shoulder, or... never mind.

Although I stole the list from Kylie, who stole it from Peter, I have a new idea for the list. How about if we see if we can combine the list. For example, "Take a candlelit bath in tarantulas" or "skydiving while kissing in the rain". This could work you know.
