A challenge to all my blogger friends to give back...

One of my blogger friends over at the Junie Moon is commited to doing the right thing and give back to others! I wanted to showcase her wonderful cause and I am hoping and calling on all those who knit and crochet. To please help this wonderful woman in her crusade to help with bandages for people who are suffering with leprosy.
It seems that something so small would help so many of those suffering. You could easily do this watching a favorite T.V. show or listening to the radio. I challenge each of you who can KNIT or CROCHET to make 5-10 rolls and send them to June! You can also help by posting her link back to her. To get the word out. I am blessed and want to help June in this cause. I want to get the word out to help these poor people who are suffering so.

Make this one New Year's resolution that all of us can keep...I wish all of you love and a very blessed life. I have no doubts that the blogging commmunity can step up to this simple challenge. I know you all can do your part...even a small part. Here is the link to dear June's blog and the post on her cause.

Thank you so much for getting the word out, Robyn! There's a quote by Gandhi that I try hard to remember each and every day: "You must be the change you want to see in the world." By doing even a small thing like giving someone a simple smile or making bandages for those afflicted with leprosy can make a difference in the world.

Hi Sweetie ~

I haven't even had time to read your post or your blog because I have to feed the kitties and just woke up (had a migraine and unfortunately still do, but had to check on Ludmila! I know you understand. Will get back to you at some point this evening. Just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for writing to Ludmila and sending her your kind wishes. You are such a dear. I briefly scanned your blog and I'm grateful. After reading your comment to Ludmila, I knew you were wonderful and just a scan proved it.

Additionally, we're SO close geographically. I haven't given out my location, so I'm laughing. Let's hope the Red Cross is wrong and we don't sink. If Elk Grove sinks first, you and the gang can come to my house! God the world is small!

P.S. I'm going to rally the troups on my blog and perhaps you can do the same (because you seem to have collected quite a lovely group of women) in an effort to support Ludmila. She is such a sweetie~pie and I know the support would do her a world of good. She's a recently graduated law student in Brazil and just the dearest soul on the planet and going through a painful period. She speaks Portuguese, but tries as you see, to write to her many friends from 1pic in English. She's lovely.

I'm always amazed at how 1pic has brought such a wonderful group of people together. Talk to you soon!

Dear Robyn
Really have to thank all the kind words you left,it's just a tough situation i'm going through..I think he's a bit confused and belive me, i bet he's afraid of having something actually REAL, a real relationship, with all the details..I've met him not so long,it's been two months since we've met personally, her cousin, who's one of my best friends, presented me to him..At the beggining,it was just a good friendship, but these past few days of December,it turned into a different feeling..I think in his head a virtual relationship doesn't offer any risks, that's why he insists on it..The most strange thing is that he "knows" her for almost a year, and they at the same State, not same cities, but 1 hour and a half,2 hours from his city to her city..Really cannot understand..He's blind..
Thank you for supporting me!Allthe best,
Ludmila from Brazil.

It is a shame about 1pic, but his blog brought many more wonderful, true new friends into my small part of our world. Stop by anytime. I have now added you to my favorites! Your pictures are wonderful. I am still learning and deciding what to do with mine.

Good thoughts to all
